Silver Balloons

A new year means another round of resolutions vowed to be fulfilled however many never do. But I'm a creature of habit so here's mine- to become a Ninja. I thought if I only made one single resolution, there will be a higher probability that it'd actually happen.

And how would I do that you might ponder?
  • Raise $22, 000 (minimum)
  • Travel 10, 277km (according to Google Maps I'd have to kayak 5,404km across the Pacific Ocean, and Google Maps is never wrong)
  • 10 months of  "training"
  • Become a registered weapon (if Jackie Chan can do it, why can't I?)
This is my awkward way of saying, I'm going to be an exchange student to Kansai Gaidai University, Japan in the year 2011 for 2 semesters! I'm excited, nervous, and incredibly afraid that the Japanese won't understand my abnormal sense of humour. It would be a very awkward year if this is so.

The repetitive question I get is "Why Japan?"

Because its Love. And as any hopeless romantic can tell you, you can't explain love. But here's a little snippet: whilst the rest of the world lit the skies with fireworks for the new year, the Japanese filled their sky with silver balloons containing notes of hope for the future. And people still ask me why Japan?
